TENNIS UPDATE
The no1 seed Rafa Nadal and the no4 seed Andy Murray both won their 1st round ties. Nadal eased past the American Russell in 3 sets, however Murray really struggled in the 1st set and lost it, but then regained his composure and reeeled off the next 3 sets, winning the last 15 games on the trot against the Spaniard Gimeno-Traver.
Today is the turn of Roger Federer and Novak Djoikovic and on the ladies side our no1 British player Elena Baltacha and American Serena Williams.
Eat all you can grill night
Well what can i say it just goes to show how well sites like these work we advertised our new Eat all you can grill night on here last week for tommorow night and its completley sold out and we have had to turn down reservations as we are full inside and out and we are already half full for next week so if you wish to attend any tuesday please be quick or you will be dissapointed so thank you again spanish life
BUS STATION IN ALMORADI
Hello to you all,
Can anyone inform us if there is a timetable for the Buses, where I can get one and if there is a bus route that operates a service within Almoradi. Would appreciate your help! Thank you
If you go to the bus station in Almoradi, you will see all times posted up for buses to Guadamar, Torrevieqa, Elche etc. I am sure they also have printed copies in the office there. There used to be a bus service that went thru Almoradi but as far as I know this service was stopped. Other members may have more info.

WIMBLEDON KICKS OFF TOMORROW
With the weather not at its best in England and there being long spells of rain during the last week it threatens to seriously affect play at Wimbledon.
I hope they do get the chance to have some play as I think this year is going to be great.
I love tennis myself and I actually had a few games the other day in the searing heat, really enjoyed it but it was too hot.
It would be nice to hear from any other forum members who enjoy tennis and add their views and experiences of playing tennis here in Spain.
I understand Nadal will be playing on centre court at 2.00pm Spanish time and even if it rains they will operate the electronic roof 45 minutes before to ensure play takes place. So no matter what we will see some tennis tomorrow regardless.
I am also looking forward to this years championship and I cannot see past Nadal, with Murray and Federar pushing him all the way.
Masquerade Ball
We are organising a fantastic Masquerade Ball at Castillo de Conesa (San Miguel Castle) on the 24th June, there will be a glass of champagne for all on arrival, 5 course meal and drinks included, Entertainment on the evening will be provided by ANDY JONES and SHANI ORMISTON (2 of the best singers on the Costas). On the night there will be prizes for the best dressed ball "KING" and "QUEEN", and also a grand prize raffle, so get all dressed up and come along to the castle and have a really great night.
