Friends Unlimited the social arm of the charity HELP Vega Baja has organised a charity fund raising night at Los Rosales restaurant on the Lemon Tree Road, Campo Guardamar on Monday 27th February, 6:30 for 7pm.

The evening will commence with a BBQ, followed by a Fun Quiz with the ever popular question master Tony Hogg; bring your own team or make up a team on the night.

Tickets cost €7.50 and are available from one of the Thursday meetings at The Club, Quesada, or at the HELP office in San Miguel weekday mornings and must be purchased in advance.

All proceeds raised are going to support the HELP Care programme, schemes available for the benefit of members of ‘HELP’ who have been hospitalised. For more information see the web site www.helpvegabaja.com.

The program combines international music with dance in an effort to make exercise fun. Zumba classes are offered through licensed instructors. Classes use music based on salsa, merengue, cumbia, reggaeton and other international music styles and forms.

Hi I have acquired a female cat, which is pregnant, not really sure what do with her, I am feeding her because I feel sorry for her, does anyone know of a cat sanctuary in this area who could come and get her to re home her, she is very clean and good with the kids, but I just dont have time for pets! and I am moving very soon. She is grey, beige with stripes on her legs with large blue eyes.....

Country Music tour - King & Country
King & Country show returns in February

Following the huge success of last years King and Country tour,Jukebox Promotions have added new venues and set up a tour of the show in the region during February.

The all new show, featuring Peter Day, Fiona McLean and Elvis 2000 will also star Red Strokes and his fabulous Garth Brooks tribute. This unique combination will simply be a must for all lovers of Country music so, if you missed it last year, make sure you get tickets for the 2012 shows asap. Peter, of Jukebox Promotions says " We were very excited about the success of King and Country last year and now, with new songs, the combination of Country & Western, Country rock, Garth Brooks and Elvis will be on a tour circuit again over seven venues in February. The first, on Thursday 16th will be at Punta Prima and it will then stretch to La Marina, Gran Alacant, Quesada, Los Balcones, San Luis and La Florida during the month. We are very pleased to be working with some fabulous new venues in 2012 and expect tickets for these shows to sell very fast. There is a limited number available so please book early".
