HOTTEST DAY OF THE YEAR

Corrr!!!! What a scorcher of a day. Watching the Spanish News this morning it stated that it could hit 50 degrees in some parts of Spain today. They were not wrong as you can feel you are burning instantly just by walking a few 100 meters. SO PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU ARE OUT, ALWAYS TAKE SOME WATER WITH YOU AS IT CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS, BUT AT THE SAME TIME LETS ALL BE SENSIBLE AND ENJOY IT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE!!!!!!

This Saturday there will be fiesta celebrations in both Catral and Rojales. The parades kick off at about 8pm, so if are looking to attend please leave plenty of time!!!! Enjoy!!!!

BOTTLED WATER BEWARE

As we now seem to be getting into our hot weather, it is important that people know the dangers of bottled water being left in the car. As we all know, when you leave your car parked and then return to it, the heat inside the car is sometimes unbearable. If you have left a bottle of water in your car for a time, the water gets quite hot, and, as we have all done, we drink it.
This has now proven to be very dangerous. Under normal circumstances, when bottled water is stored, after a period of only 3 months, the plastic of the bottle will give off toxins in the water. This in turn will cause upset tummies and diahorrea. When left in heat, the toxins become dioxins, which can cause breast cancer. The answer is, DO NOT store water in plastic bottles. Water should only be stored in glass containers.
The answer to all the problems is not to buy bottled water.

BOAT TRIPS

Enjoy the wonderful views of Torrevieja’s coastline from a boat.
We recommend making this cruise in the afternoon, as you can witness a wonderful sunset during the way back.

Throughout the cruise, an audio-guide will inform you about everything you visit.

Route: The exit point is set up at Torrevieja’s port, and then it starts sailing next to the floating museums to go out later to the bay and cruise just all along the coast up to the Playa del Cura beach, where it turns back to the port. It is an ideal short trip to prevent people from feeling sick.
Approximate duration: 30 minutes (round trip)

Price: 8€ for adults, free for children up to 8 years old.
