Holiday in La Marina Urb JUne 2013

Hi, my name is Jeanette. I am coming on holiday to La Marina and staying in the Urbanisation on June 17th for one week.
Can anyone advise me if there is a local bus service that goes to the beach at the time we are there?
Also, if anyone could tell me of other activities that don't require a car would be hugely appreciated.
Many thanks, Jeanette

Hi Jeanette
Im pretty sure the beach bus service doesnt begin until July, however the is a taxi rank on the main road and they would take you there.
There is a coach company called Davids coaches ( find them at www.coachtripsonline.com) that run daily coaches to various places at very good prices. They pick up from the satalite roundabout. ( if you dont know this area, just ask someone when you get here, as everyone knows it) You can book over the phone or internet in advance with them.
There are various bus stops on the urbanisation, but again on the main road, not far from Barclays properties you can catch a bus to Guardamar, ( as well as other places)they have a market there on Wednesdays, they have a nice beach and shops bars and resturants.
Hope you have a lovely Holiday. Nikki

Hi Nikki, thank you so much for your help, it is very useful. We are so excited to be going to La Marina in June, especially with the awful weather we are having here in England at the moment!

Kind regards
Jeanette

The bus service to the beach runs for the duration of the Spanish school holidays, which i think is from the 3rd week in June, you can get information on activities and bus services from the tourist information office, by the doctors surgery & Police station.

There is a free crazy golf course at the back of the Final Whistle - in comsume square, the Final Whistle will lend you golf club, you do need to leave a deposit, which you get back when you return them.

The Sport Complex have an Entertainer on every Sunday night - Woody with a 5 euro meal, Cagney's now have afternoon entertainment on a Friday 2pm - 4pm and the Final Whistle does the same on a Monday, other bars have bingo, quizzes and entertainment on as well.

Hi Jeanette
Have you thought about a pushbike.Dunno how fit you are?Wherever you are staying they may have one. Just a thought-and if you're up to it you can cycle to the beach.15 mins if you take it slowly
