TENNIS UPDATE

Day 3 of Wimbledon started with a downpour of rain, which continued until around 4pm so all outside courts were unplayable until then. Luckily as Centre court has an automatic roof we had some play. On the ladies the 1st match was a classic between former champion Venus Williams against Kimito Date Krum at the young age of 40. Brilliant spectacle and enthralling for all the fans. Best match so far with Venus just nicking it in the final set. Laura Robson also went through and will now meet Mari Sharapova tomorrow. Both Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal went through to the 3rd round with straight set wins. Tomorrow its the turn of Federer and Djokovic.
