inheritance tax

Hi can anyine help me.i bought a house a few years ago with my father he is now very ill and have been told I will pay a big tax bill if he dies!!!
Can this be avoided in any way we both made wills out but im guessing as im half owner im gonna get hit.
Do i need to change my will or get him to change his?
