Help! How can we cancel a landline in Almunecar?

We have a flat in Almunecar and cannot get out to Spain at present because of mobility problems . We urgently need to cancel our land line rental from TELFONICA as we cannot afford it. Does anyone know where to apply to in Almunecar? or is it best to cancel the direct debit at the Banco Popular?
Any ideas please
Les and Jenny

You can ring direct to telefonia the number will be on your bill they will need a months cancel notice and do email your bank to cancel the direct debit so they will not pay out inform them you are canceling good luck

Hi Les and Jenny
If you have bills from Telefonica then you can register online and request your cancellation that way. Calling them from outside of Spain is nigh on impossible unfortunately unless anyone has a number for them aside from 1004.

You cancel your direct debit and then after about 3 months you'll get disconnected by Telefonica but you will owe them money for 3 months (approx) worth of line rental which is possibly not the way you want to go. The debt will remain against your nie/passport no. which ever they have for you.

Of course it may be that they are charging you way more than you need be paying in the first place, so if you wish to keep your line then there are alternatives.

I frequently deal with Telefonica on behalf of people, especially getting bills out of Telefonica, so I'd be happy to talk if you wish. I have a freephone UK no. 0800 949 6558 and ask for Helen.
