Spain 'attempting to draw in overseas landlords'

The Spanish government has amended laws relating to the country's property rental market to make them more favourable to landlords - and particularly those from overseas.
Writing for Mortgage Strategy, managing director of CHL Mortgages Bob Young explained this has created opportunities for foreign buyers who want to receive a rental income from a property in Spain.
He highlighted a tax relief scheme which will see landlords receive 100 per cent of the rental income generated by their investments.
Mr Young commented: "There may be more legwork involved for British landlords considering adding foreign properties to their portfolios, but with a lack of supply in the domestic market and opportunities overseas, it may make sense to make hay while the sun shines."
Another factor that may attract foreign buyers to Spain's real estate market is the cost of purchasing a home here.
Last week, the BNP Paribas Economy Research Department published data showing that the value of properties in Spain had fallen by 9.3 per cent in the third quarter of this year, compared to the same period in 2011.

Whats happened to the individual area posts which used to be separated?
Does anyone know why this feature has been removed and all posts amalgamated together?
Not saying its a bad idea but just thought someone would be able to explain the reason/s

Thanks Debra for the explanation, however thats how it used to work but now its all together. As you say and I agree with its so much better than before but it could be improved by doing away with all the same messages from all the sites.

I wonder if you and i are getting different responses through the site? As a member of the Quesada life forum I definitley get quesada notifications first and only when i click on "see all posts from other areas" do I get everything else or the amalgamation if you like.
Maybe Steve can enlighten us?

it is my understanding that you still get the posts for your own area first, in your case that would be almoradi life and then by clicking the box for " see all posts" thats when you get the amalgamated version.
I think its a great idea, saves having to click on every area to see whats happening in the wider community, the only bug bear is if someone has posted in several locations you get to see their info a gazillion times ( well you know what im mean)
